- A
safety helmet must be worn and is provided. Riders may bring their
own helmet but it must be approved by the instructor.

- Helmets
are mandatory for anyone sitting on or riding a horse.
|
- Long
pants are required for students riding in a saddle and strongly suggested
for all other riding.
|
- Any
rider dressed inappropriately will ride in a surcingle or not at all.
|
- Shoes
with sturdy heels, oxfords or riding boots are mandatory for those riding
in saddles and are strongly recommended for others. Tennis shoes are
not appropriate footwear when rider is using stirrups. Sandals or
open-toes are not allowed to be worn by riders or volunteers.

- Vaulters
are to wear soft soled shoes and no loose fitting clothes.
|
- Participants
are encouraged to wear NKT shirts.
|
- Windbreakers,
sweatshirts or jackets are often needed for the early Spring and late Fall
classes.
|
- For
special events such as horse shows or demonstrations, NKT logo clothing is
encouraged in order the NKT makes a unified impression. English
riding competitors are encouraged to invest in breeches and boots.
Western riders may wear jeans and boots.
